Prof. Nasser Barghi

Bonded All Ceramic Restorations in 2012: What we did? What we do? Using Evidence based Information

Dr Nasser Barghi is Professor and Head of the Division of Aesthetic Dentistry in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at The University of Texas Health Science Center. He has presented more than 650 didactic and hands-on clinic courses in over 30 countries and has completed research on bonding new aesthetic materials and etched porcelain bonded restorations. Dr Barghi is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and the International Association for Dental Research.

Dr. Ashok Sethi

Dr. Sethi has pioneered the art and science of surgical and restorative implant dentistry for 34 years. His practice is dedicated to implants achieving outstanding success rates in terms of predictability and aesthetic and functional outcome. He is the Programme Director of the Diploma in Implant Dentistry, of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has written “Practical Implant Dentistry” jointly with Thomas Kaus, published by Quintessence International in 10 languages. The 2nd edition “Practical Implant Dentistry–the Science and Art” is now available.

Prof Mahesh Verma

Mahesh completed a BDS, MDS (Prosthodontics) from Govt. Dental College, Trivandrum, Kerala. Postgraduation he also completed a MBA in Healthcare Administration from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University and Ph.D (Honoris Causa) from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. Prof. Verma is a member of many dental professional and regulatory bodies of the country and is a Fellow of many dental schools. Dr. Mahesh Verma is visiting Clinical Professor, School of Dental Medicine, Tufts University, Boston, USA. Dr. Verma is Editor as well on Editorial board of many scientific publications. He has received many awards for distinguished services rendered and for his contributions in the profession.

Dr Louis MacKenzie

Louis Mackenzie is a GDP and clinical lecturer at university of Birmingham dental school. He qualified in 1990 from Birmingham Dental School, where he is now a part-time clinical lecturer. He was awarded the 2009 University of Birmingham School of Dentistry Award for teaching excellence. He delivers postgraduate courses nationally and internationally on direct and indirect restorative techniques & minimum intervention dentistry

Dr. Raj RajaRayan OBE

He was former Director of primary dental care at the Eastman and on the Board of Management, former Dean of the FGDP(UK) and former member of Council of the GDC. He has lectured extensively internationally and has many awards to his name. He is currently the Associate Dean of Postgraduate Dentistry at the London Deanery.

Dr. Richard Kahan

New Horizons in Endodontic Diagnosis and Treatment Planning

As well as working in his specialist practice in Harley Street, Richard is Senior Clinical Part-time lecturer in Endodontology at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute, University College London teaching endodontics to postgraduate specialist students and general practitioners. He has lectured nationally and written many research papers for revered journals. Richard’s other interest is Information Technology and he is a consultant in dental IT integration. He has recently finished writing a clinical software programme called EndoBiz which is currently undergoing beta testing.

Dr Mona Kakar

Dr Mona Kakar graduated from Nair Hospital Dental College with a B.D.S. in 1986. She started her private practice in Chembur almost immediately thereafter, with special emphasis on Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry, which has since advanced to Full Mouth Rehabilitations. She acquired a Post Graduate Certification in Aesthetic Dentistry from Baylor College of Dentisty, Dalls, Texas (USA), in 1995, and also completed an advanced course in Endodontics & Prosthodontics from Tufts University of Dentistry at the L.H Hiranandani Hospital at Powai, Mumbai.

Among others he established a drip irrigation factory in 2000 in Baroda - today one of the most successful agri businesses in India. He set up marketing networks for a number of companies in both the agricultural industries and in medical instruments. Mr. Byron has been Tuttnauer’s office manager for 7 years developing the activity - with the assistance of a team of talented marketing and technical persons into a multi-million dollar business.

Dr Ajay Kakar

Dr Ajay Kakar, Periodontist and Implantologist, is the current Secretary of the IAACD and the Vice President of the International Academy of Periodontology and a member of the Extended Board of the European Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook, SUNY – USA. He lectures extensively around the globe. BITEIN and the IDO, his creations were created a decade ago and are the fore runners of the Internet and Indian dentistry. He runs a number of CDE programs.

Dr. Naresh Kumar Sharma

Naresh qualified from the University of Leeds in 1974 and has 20 years experience of Oral Surgery in Hospital Dentistry and 18 years in Implant Dentistry. He is currently on the Specialist List for Oral Surgery. Naresh has various publications to his name and he is on the teaching faculty for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the RCS England, and is the Director of the Diploma course in Leeds. He is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and has been very actice at the National Board level of the RCS England.
